We raise guide dog puppies, and have a pet Lab of our own. With two dogs around the house most of the time, effective waste clean-up is a priority. We’ve tried recycling plastic shopping bags (too large, and they often have holes in them), and purchasing special-purpose dog waste bags from the local pet store (varying quality, not biodegradable, and kind of pricey). The best option we had found so far was dog waste bags from Ikea, which were reasonably priced ($1.99 for 50), but not biodegradable. Unfortunately, Ikea has discontinued the product, so we were back to looking for an acceptable solution. After looking at some of the alternatives (flushable bags, in particular), we decided to try these bags from Green Stuff Only.
Firstly, the price is hard to beat. If you look around, you’ll see that it’s hard to find bags for much under $.04 a bag. $5.99 for 200 is a very good price, and preferable to ordering thousands of bags to get a comparable price. Secondly, the quality of the bags is good. We’re part way into our first box, and so far I have not had any issues separating a bag from the roll (no holes or tears, etc.), and no problem opening the bags. The plastic has that dry/rough feel that you associate with corn-based biodegradable plastic, and is green in colour, but otherwise seems very similar to the Ikea bags that we were using. Finally, the bag is a good size – I can turn it inside out over my large hand, and back again, without any issues. Without being gross, it holds enough.
My main concern was getting a “reliable” bag at a reasonable price, and these certainly fit the bill. The fact that they are biodegradable is an added bonus, although it’s debatable whether they will get much chance to degrade when double bagged (per our local waste disposal recommendations) and buried in a landfill. I would definitely recommend these bags to others.

I got these recently to use for cleaning out the litter box for my cats, but I imagine they would work just as well if you are picking up after your dog. 200 bags in a box.
They definitely let you know about their environmental friendliness–they are only supposed to last for two years, but if this is important to you (like me), then that is a good thing. Otherwise, they are pretty much just like normal bags. They are both green (enviro) and literally green in color (kinda weird, but works).
Basically, these bags are exactly what they should be at a reasonable price.

Okay, they’re “just” poo bags. But compared to some others they’re
(1) less expensive,
(2) stronger,
(3) quieter (they crinkle less),
(4) cuter (kawai!),
(5) more discreet (low-key green versus tarpaulin blue), and
(6) packaged more conveniently (as one big roll in a cardboard dispenser).
And whether or not it was intentionally badly written, I got a kick out of all the broken English on the box as well as on the bags themselves. You gotta love the Sanrio vibe.

I just received these bags and they work great. I have a large dog (about 100 lbs) and these bags still work well for this size dog. I was a little worried they would only work for the smaller dogs but so far so good.

There is another bag option I was looking into before buying this product [ I do not remember the exact name, but it's a 750-count blue bags ]. That one costs $23 for 750, which comes out to about 3.1 cents per bag. Where are this is $6 per 200, which is exactly 3 cents per bag. (Having the amazon prime trial, I didn’t have to pay shipping, which was nice.)
Anyway, doing some more unnecessary research, I learned about ASTM-D6954-04-Oxo-Biodegradable and how those blue bags, and others like it are not really biodegradable, but merely degradable, or that they slowly breaks apart into smaller pieces. This bag is truly biodegradable, as evidenced by the fact that it has an actual expiration. Not sure if anyone cares about that fact, but the fact that it is ultimately cheaper [ which I hope doesn't change in the future ], the environmental-friendly aspect of it is quite a nice bonus.
As per the product itself, it work. Very strong, and it does what it’s supposed to. Not sure what else to ask for of [pseudo]-plastic bags. The bags are the size of adult person’s hands, smaller than I am used to [grocery store bags] but it doesn’t seem to be a problem. I guess it’s size even reduces it’s environmental impact slightly, which is good.
I bought two packs, which should last me a year, and if the price doesn’t go up too much, I’ll definitely buy them again.
Couple of issues:
1) I’ve scoured the bag for a “Use By” date, and cannot find it. Hopefully, my batch was produced within this year.
2) No idea why a 200 count bag would be also be called 90-day supply. If i used 2 of these a day, that would be 100-days.
3) I wish they rolled them up the same way the bags-on-board did so I can put them in those little container. But I guess these are a little more fragile than those bags, maybe it’s best to just bring one a a time.
