Review by B. Stenman for Senseo Day’s Dawn 4-Flavor Coffee Variety Pack II, 16-to 18-Count Pods (Pack of 4)
Rating:
I am a big fan of the Senseo coffee maker and their pods. The Senseo makes better coffee with crema than I can get at any coffee shop in the USA including Pete’s and Starbucks which don’t even try. Most of the coffee selections are very good with only one that is a bit lacking in aroma and flavor but that is a personal judgment and others might light different ones more or maybe less.
A low risk product that is bound to please anyone that like the regular Senseo dark roast coffee.

I love the “Days Dawn” Senseo coffee pods. All of the varieties are great, and I especially like being able to make a great latte at home with the espresso pods.

If you like the standard Senseo flavors you’ll like this mix. It’s a little hard to tell the flavors apart, but they are all enjoyable.

Review by R. D Johnson for Racor PBS-2R Two-Bike Floor Bike Stand

I’ve had this stand for over a year now. Took about five minutes to get it together. Held my 26″ mountain bike just fine. I recently bought a new 26″ MTB with disc brakes. The good news is that the disc rotors ‘just barely’ clear the support arms on this stand. You do have to futz with the bike’s position on the stand a bit or the bike will ‘lean’ slightly on the rotor, but it isn’t that hard to make it work. The bad news is that the support arm pairs are too close together to allow two mountain bikes of the same frame size to coexist peacefully in the same orientation. With front wheels inserted into the frame the handlebars clash big time. It works better if one bike has the front wheel in the frame and the other the rear wheel. The handlebar of one bike will still contact the seat of the other bike, but a simple turn of the handlebar on the outward-facing bike fixes this. This stand was obviously designed for two road bikes side-by-side, not MTBs. It would probably also be OK with two bikes of different frame sizes. Other than that, though, it’s plenty sturdy and works well.

This Racor unit is pretty much the same thing you’ll see in bicycle shops. It’s solidly made, and heavy enough to keep a pair of bikes standing upright.Who needs it? Anyone with kids, I think. Getting kids to park their bikes somewhere that (1) you won’t back over them with the car (2) you won’t trip over them coming out of the house is always a struggle; just getting them to do something other than simply drop them on the ground where they got off can be a major task. This stand makes that task just a little easier by providing a fixed place to stash the bikes with little or no effort. Place one on the back porch and one in the garage and you’ll always know where the bikes are. Oh, and if you’re an adult with a lot of bike riding friends, place one or two by your side door. Your friends will appreciate it!

I received my Racor PBS-2R bike rack today and was quite disappointed the minute that I opened the box. The rack was shipped in its original packaging and the box was mildly beat up. Most of the hardware was floating around in the box not in the bags like they should have been. Most of the pieces were scratched as well.
Once I started putting it together I realized that I had two left U’s. Flipping over one of the U’s works, but the screws will no longer be recessed like they should be. It works, but I am not the only person to have this problem. There are other people who have complained about the same problem here on Amazon. After reading the other reviews I decided against ordering two, and ordered only one to be safe. I am glad I did. I won’t be ordering the second one unless they improve their Quality Control.

It is a well-designed bike stand made of sturdy steel members. Assembly is required and should take about 10-15 mintures. The front wheel of the bike rests securely in the front slot of the stand — no kick stand needed. If you are tired of your bikes collapsing on each others in the garage, this is a good investment.

Sturdy construction, nice to look at, and at the right price. What sold me was the fact that you can have both bikes facing the same direction.
I only had 3 minor issues. When I carried the package inside after it was delivered, a washer and a bolt fell out of one of the box seams. I opened it up to find that the little baggie that held the hardware was cut open in transit by it contents, and parts were strewn all over inside the box. Luckily, everything was present and accounted for, but the hardware is pretty basic and nothing I couldn’t have replaced at my local hardware store. I’m just glad I didn’t have to.
The second issue is that, for the life of me, I can’t get the thing to sit perfectly flat. I loosened and re-adjusted the screws 3 times, and it’s still a bit off kilter (one corner is always about 1/4 inch off the ground).
Lastly, it was pretty stinky when I got it out of the box, but that went away in a couple of days.
It should be known that none of these issue are dealbreakers. The rack does its job well in a limited amount of space, it was relatively inexpensive, and it’s not unsightly like some of the other racks out there. And once it’s assembled, this thing is bombproof.
Assembly was fairly intuitive and I almost got by without reading the instructions. What took me 20 minutes to assemble may only take you 10 minutes. Just don’t don’t tighten all the screws down before it’s fully assembled and you can do it without instructions. The instructions say this plainly, but of course…
Anyway, I’m glad that I didn’t have to spend a bunch of dough to get exactly what I needed. The manufacturer just needs to use a sturdier bag for the hardware. Overall I’m pleased with the purchase. You probably will be too. Just let it air out in the back yard overnight…
