Drinkwell replacement filters, fit well and seem to work. Have to be honest that I haven’t drunk any of my cat’s water so can’t comment on the flavor but he seems to like it

My cat loves this thing, but he likes to put his food into it then fish it out if he can. This gunks up the flow a bit and I have to clean out the whole contraption every two weeks or so. The filters are a decent price and you need them to keep the water at maximum freshness.

You don’t NEED this filter, per se, but it makes the fountain last much longer between cleaning, and it’s just better for the animals (yeah, I know, cats and dogs lick themselves, and drink water from swamps, why do they need filtered water?!). These filters work well, they’re easy to clean (once or twice a month), and they work longer than they suggest.
Buy them in bulk online to reduce shipping charges, and these filters don’t end up costing much at all.

We have had the Drinkwell Fountain for over 5 years. We looked everywhere for the replacement filters and had a really hard time finding them. Thank you Amazon for carrying these. They really do a good job of keeping the water from getting slimy and cutting down on the frequency of cleaning the fountain.

I was a little leary of this product, after all, I had tried all the topical ointments and nothing worked. But I am thrilled with this product. Although the directions indicated it might takes weeks to see an improvement I noticed a big difference in just a week. My dogs eyes aren’t as runny and after I took him to the groomers and had his hair trimmed the brown tear stains are all gone and have not returned! Also, it hasn’t affected him eating his food either. My dog is finicky so I was concerned he might notice the taste and not eat it when I added it to his food. But it either has no taste or tastes good cuz he still eats his food without a problem. This product is worth trying!

This product does work, but it contains Tylosin, which is actually a low grade antibiotic. My dogs developed diarhea after 2 weeks. Consult your veternarian before using this product!

I have been using Angels Eyes with my Maltese for over a year now. It really works. I agree that it is expensive, but it is the only thing I have found that not only eliminates tear stains, but actually seems to whiten the coat overall. I tried a competitive product with a very similar name but it was less palatable. As it is, I hide Angels Eyes in a tiny bit of canned food and my Maltese doesn’t even notice. I am also at a point where just a teeny pinch maintains dry eyes and white coat. It took a couple of weeks for AE to work, but it has never stopped working. Buy this product and you will not be disappointed!

I ordered this product first and then found out that it contains an antibiotic. I spoke to my vet about it and she said that a lot of her clients use it are are very happy with the results and that their pets don’t seem to be adversly affected by it. However, she did confirm that it is an antibiotic. I have decided not to give Angel Eyes to my dog for a couple reasons. Most importantly, I’m not comfortable giving my pet an antibiotic regularly for purely cosmetic reasons. Who knows what kind of damage it can be doing to his little body. I can’t imagine that regular ingestion of an antibiotic over the life of a dog can be very good for it. Secondly, there’s a concern with overuse of antibiotics in our society in general. This antibiotic will be excreted by your pet and will eventually end up in our soil, ground water and oceans. These are things to think about before you purchase this product. Also, NOWHERE on the packaging or on a brochure I picked up at the pet store does it mention that this product contains an antibiotic. The brochure actually touts it as “natural” product – I find this extremely deceptive.
