This pan saved our grill! We have a low-end gas grill that was given to me and my husband as a Christmas gift. No matter what settings we tried it would either burn the food or leave it raw. With this pan, we can turn the heat up to where it should be and the food doesn’t burn! The only downside is that it is a bear to clean. Other people have recommended Easy Oven Off but I haven’t tried that yet.

Very Hard to clean even with pre-greasing.
Note that I am NOT refering to cleaning the holes or slots.
I took a paper towel and saturated it with vegetable oil (soy) which has the highest smoking point of all the oils.
Even the handles are hard to clean which had no food touching them.
It just may be that one needs to use a low smoking point oil.
Also note that I was surprised that bon ami did a much better job tha bar keepers friend. It may be that with normal stains bar keeper friend is better, but in taking the cooked on oil stains, bon ami is better.

This received top ratings from America’s Test Kitchen (Cooking Illustrated & Cook’s Kitchen). I was skeptical because I have tried about a dozen different grill pans in the 18 months, but none have really worked. This is the best I have used yet.
One was a square-ish pan and the corners snapped and became unusable. A common problem with many pans; they are welded and not stamped or folded. The welds usually break due to the high heat in the grill.
My old favorite is a bowl style; it’s decent, but the problem is the top is bigger than the bottom so there is not a lot of actual grilling space. As a result you either have steamed veggies or you have to keep stirring.
The biggest complaint I have about most grill pans is the holes. Either they are too big and things like cherry tomatoes and sliced onions fall through, or the holes are too small. Small holes have many problems: difficult to clean, too many and the food gets too charred, too many holes and the metal separating the holes breaks…etc.
This pan is the best pan I have used yet. It it made of one piece with NO welds; the sides are bent up to create a lip and give the user an edge to flip and turn food. Also, the holes are not actually holes, they are slits. This means that one does not have to worry about food slipping through the spaces; from time to time sliced onions get stuck, but not really a BIG deal. It works great for Portabella mushrooms though it is not just for veggies, it’s great for fish. Another big seller is that this is stainless and easy-ish to clean. It’s not going to be non-stick easy to clean, you will have to scrub, but with a Brillo pad and elbow grease it’s not a big deal.
The only complaint I have is the size. I have a two burner grill (unless I can talk my wife into getting a new grill next summer) and the pan can be a little too big for this type of grill. This “complaint” is not that big of a complaint since I usually don’t do veggies at the same time as the meat.
If Weber updates this pan, I would recommend making it available in a smaller size and upgrading the metal; it’s a little light weight. It’s not bad, a little more heft would be nice.
If you have a grilling fanatic in your family (even if it’s you) then buy this pan. It’s great! You won’t be disappointed. Get this pan.

Best grill pan ever. Raised edges keep everything in the pan. Small openings in the bottom of the pan makes certain that nothing falls through. Big handles make it easy to move around the grill. I’ve been grilling for 37 years and this is the best grill pan I have ever used.

Testers’ Comments
This sturdy pan was well designed, with 1/8-inch slits rather than holes, so that even chopped onion pieces didn’t fall through. Its four raised sides kept food on the pan when we stirred; raised handles helped us lift it off the grill easily with heavy mitts. Good heat retention meant good browning.

Review by Linda Garcia for Brother 5300 Universal Sewing Machine Carrying Case
Rating:
This case is ugly and very cheap looking. It is also way too big for my standard sewing machine. My machine knocks around inside of it, defeating the purpose of a protective case. I did not want to give this item even one star, but the system just works that way.

The picture of the item is deceiving as its taken from the side, so you can’t see how enormous it really is. It takes up too much storage space too. I recommend seeing if the Singer case might fit better.

Rating:
While the dimensions of this product were certainly given in the description and I take some responsibility for not getting my tape measure out, the picture gave me the impression that the case was more compact than it turned out to be. The fact that it is a “universal” carrying case means that it is much larger than needed to accomodate the sewing machine I bought. This is because it is intended to also accomodate a serger, which is a larger machine. Space considerations were a factor in my decision to purchase a new machine and the unwieldy size of the new case made it unacceptable to me. If space is not a problem, this case would be OK.

Rating:
Do not bother to buy this sewing machine case. It is crappy! Don’t be fooled by the “Universal” phrase of this product. I have a Brother sewing machine so i bought this item. When i got it, i placed my sewing machine and it rattles around inside the case. I don’t see what is so “Universal” about this. There is too much room inside and my machine tips over to its sides when i lift to carry the case. It’s terrible!!! I’d give NO star but i don’t have that choice on the selection. I wanted to return it but it’s not worth the shipping charge that will show up on my refund due to Amazon’s policies. By then i would probably only get at most $12.00 back in refunds.

This case is really good, it fits my 1034D Brothe serger very nicely. The only thing I wish it has, is a compartment below the sewing machine, like with a little trap door or something. but other than that, its great, and it does its job well
